"The Kiss of Judas, a suspense filled thriller!"--Intriguing, fierce, and provocative best describes the suspense filled book, "The Kiss of Judas." This book focuses on two characters: Justine Dasant and Isaiah Johnson. Justine is a "devious" woman, determined to do anything to keep her boyfriend, who is Isaiah, at any cost! Justine is a person riddled with problems; and she will not let anyone come between what she wants and desires.
Isaiah, is an "intelligent" and "honest" young Black CEO who falls in love with Justine, but he does not know what he getting into, once he gets involved in a relationship with Justine.
Once Isaiah decides that Justine is not the woman he wants in his life, a "fatal attraction" is stirred up by Justine, which develops into a "chilling" and "suspense-filled" thriller!
Lastly, "The Kiss of Judas" will keep readers wondering, while reading the book, "What will happen next?" --R.W. Monroe, LA

Kiss of Judas--I enjoyed reading this first time novelist! This author has a bright future ahead of her. The suspense, intrigue, and dramatic climax, compelled me to continue reading. Highly recommended! --S.A. Los Angeles, CA

"FATAL ATTRACTION"--Renee Allen really came through in this page turner. I couldn't put the book down once I got started. If the title doesn't hook you, then the 1st few pages will. The characters are well developed, the dialogue fresh and the plot twisted. I was really able to get into the characters. She made you love them or hate them, which is the sign of a good writer. Justine's character may have pushed the limit on dastardly deeds, but the book is great reading. I'll be looking forward to more of Ms. Allen's work. Keep up the good job!!--R.L.M Suffolk, VA

"Kiss of Success" Many novels I read are for entertainment purposes only. The Kiss of Judas was not only entertaining but also thought provoking. Renee Allen has penned a novel that challenges the mind to focus on not just the melodrama that is unfolding but to also focus on the constant Christian battle of good and evil and living your life with a purpose.
Isaiah, the main male character, knows he has purpose in life but without the encouragement of his girlfriend Justine, he pushes the nagging burn in his heart aside to appease her. Justine is a woman that goes after what she wants, even if it means she has to sell her soul. Both of them find their true selves after an encounter forces them to go their separate ways. One of them is not happy with the outcome and uses "by any means necessary" to conquer.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the novel is the timing in which Allen reveals the characteristics of the each character. She also allows the scenes and episodes to unfold in gradual or in real time sequence. This allows the reader to follow the story as though they are living in the same city and the same time yet also delve into the mind to understand why the scene has occurred. Just when you think you know what will transpire next, something tremendous occurs knocks you off your feet. The Kiss of Judas is unquestionably a novel that will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend this novel to challenges your mind and captures your spirit.--Lady Godiva Book Club, Atlanta, GA

"Hot!" This book was the bomb! This book seemed so real you won't put it down until you have read the whole book. Justine Dasant is a woman I won't forget. She's not afraid to go after what she wants no matter what it is. Isaiah is the handsome hardworking young man who takes good care of his business and his woman. When a man says he don't want you anymore then leave him alone because things can really get out of hand and someone may get hurt. I say to Renee keep up the good work and can't wait to read your next book. GOOD LUCK!!--E.G. of Charlotte, NC

You won't be able to put this book down for a second. This book is an inspiration to those who are or those who have been in similar situations. This book describes how a man that was turning his life over to God, got interupted by the evil works of Satan. I would reccomend this book to any and everyone because its deep and very very interesting. I couldn't take my eyes off it for one second and that's why I gave it Ten Thumbs up. The author is awesome and I hope to see this book turned into a movie.--K.G. of Beaufort, SC

"Review of The Kiss of Judas" Newcomer Renee Allen has blasted into the writing scene with the Kiss of Judas. A combination of romance, mystery, and humor, this faith-based novel makes an excellent read. Justine Dasant is a woman of the new millennium. She's independent, sassy, beautiful, and not afraid to go after what she wants....no matter the costs. Isaiah is the ever so elusive good guy. He's handsome, successful, and ready for a commitment. Told from their opposing viewpoints, the story paints a vivid picture of what can happen when relationships go bad. With its twists and turns and an ending that will shock you, the Kiss of Judas will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. --R.L. of Charlotte, NC

"Kiss" A Must Read Renee Allen enters the industry with a bang in her first novel "The Kiss of Judas". It has the love story, drama, suspense, and mystery that every interesting novel should contain. You begin by categorizing the characters, and just when you think you have it all figured out.......Ms. Allen also adds just the right spiritual twist to make you re-evaluate your own existence. I had a very hard time putting this novel down once I began, and I'm sure it will have the same effect on others! Definitely a must read!! --A.B. of Houston, Texas

"Sex lusciously veiled in black and white" Kiss of Judas is young wisdom speaking through a remarkable young woman of many talents. A writer who captures the essence of both those who attempt to live, move, and have their being in Christ Jesus, and those in whom another spirit is at work all together.--F.F. of Houston, Texas

"The Kiss of Judas" A love story, drama, murder mystery that is full of suspense from cover to cover!. Justine Dasant ( Judas) is a deeply disturbed woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Isaiah worships the ground she walks on until he can no longer take her. He then falls in love with a beautiful model named Debra, while Isaiah is moving on and following his calling with the church Justine plots and kills, he has no idea what he is in for. This story is full of spiritual twists and turns, the garden of good and evil. you will guess all through reading it but you won't be right!. You never will guess the end.... Suspense from cover to cover. A page turner indeed. A well crafted and worthy read. A must read. --Mahogany Book Club, Albany, New York

"Movie in the making" Allen has her eye on films, keeps trying out for parts in films, and it shows. The Kiss of Judas doesn't read like a novel at all but like a script for the TV series Soul Food. But not exactly that either. Soul Food but it's much more complicated than that, not just tits and ass and tongues and legs and confusion, but (after all, Allen graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina) a very complicated literary structure in terms of points of view, bouncing back and forth in alternative chapters, first Isaiah, then Justine, then back to Isaiah, back and forth and forth and back, like a Jean Luc Godard film. See! Back to the big-tube/big-screen again!
Very little description here, mostly dialogue....and as I wrote that last sentence Cheers crept into my mind. When she does move into description, though, it's always high-tension, cat-on-a-hot-tin-roofish. Obviously Allen should focus all her energies on the TV-film world, where she would not only be comfortable, but triumphant. --Hugh Fox, Ibbetson Press

"Isaiah Johnson has it going on." He is young, successful and the CEO of his own company he feels like everything is going his way. Isaiah also has the love of a beautiful woman; Justine Dasant. Things between them seem to be going great, until Isaiah discovers what she is really like.

Justine is a beautiful woman with a lot of ugly secrets. She appears to
be a normal person, who is capable of handling whatever life throws her way, but this is far from the truth. When Isaiah's attention focuses
towards his business and not her, she begins to lose control, and
decides that if she can't have Isaiah no one will.

The Kiss Of Judas by Renee Allen is a really good book with a gripping and suspenseful storyline. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but at times Justine's antics were a little over the top and I lost interest. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Allen's books.

"Definite Page Turner" If you like drama, then this book is definitely for you. It's fast pace, full of surprise & and a shocking ending. --R.C.W. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Lights, Camera and Action!!!!!!--As I began reading this I found it very hard to put it down, Due to the fact of it's mind grabbing contents. TRUE story: One night as I was reading my Wife sent me out to pick up some Chinese take-out. I spent 10 minutes in our garage reading until it filled with fumes, So I was forced to embark on my errand only to find myself only 3 house away from my home pulled over on the side of the road, dome light on trying to find out the outcome of each new chapter. This book by Ms. Allen is realistic and a great representation of "OUR" culture. It also depicts African American Men in a positive light. Kudos to the author for a very fine read. This is movie material baby!!!--J. Watson
